Posted ByDave SynderAfter spending each waking moment this fall and winter season focussed on getting my youngest and last kid into school, the occupation is lastly complete. She has chosen a small ladies’s college that she will attend in the fall, and she will be on full tuition scholarship, which means, we are only accountable for room and board. In the many years top up to graduating my children from homeschooling, and getting this kid and her brother prior to her into college, I did a fantastic deal of research. I known as all kids of schools and spoke to admission and financial help officers. I also spoke to any mother or father heading through the admissions process I could discover. I am glad to report that all of the research payed off.
My daughter was under lots of other pressure, as well — a hefty training schedule that swallowed up 20 to 25 hours a 7 days of tournaments; exhausting practice sessions started at 5:30 in the early morning. She was obtaining less sleep than she needed, not studying enough, and had no downtime for reduction. The Bs rolled in. Most other elite athletes take it simple in school. Not my daughter.
