Are you craving for a new hairstyle but you don’t think your hair is up to the challenge? In that case, you can give your hair a break and just wear hair extensions. With hair extensions, you can experiment with different hairstyles just as you would with your makeup or your outfits, but without really doing extensive work on your tresses. Wearing artificial hair is just like wearing clothes – if you don’t like the style, you can easily change it without any harm done. It’s excellent if your locks are too short or need a break from any dramatic styling.
This is a bit controversial. But here are some of the information I got from my research and from asking 15 of my girl-friends who are and were using extensions.
Strand-by-strand. The most labor-intensive method of all, involving small clumps of best quality hand tied hair extensions to be meticulously fastened to your own hair. This is done either by weaving, gluing, fusing, applying using specific waxes or polymers or clamping with metal tubes. The method you choose will depend not only on your hair type, but the effect you want to achieve and your budget. All except clamping involve having chemicals put on your hair.
There are many different styles and colours available. In addition, they come long, short, straight or curly and can be matched perfectly with one’s natural growth. The colours can be added or removed without any damage to the regular tied hair extensions.
As they are made of human hair, they tend to settle down with natural looking layers and curls. You do not have to worry about messing it up as Cuticle hair wigs are absolutely tangle free. Unlike synthetic wigs, they have a human touch to them and they are hand tied too. This makes them easy to work with.
It wasn’t that long ago that women yearning for longer hair would have to either wait patiently for their hair to grow, or invest in a wig or a weave. Not anymore. These days, you can have longer, more luxuriant hair at the click of your fingers – literally – all thanks to hair extensions.
How long your hair extensions last depend largely on how you care for them. So make it a point to take better care of your extensions to make the most out of them.
