We’ll that’s the natural instinct when face with a threatening situation. Here the threatening situation is keep losing money or cut your losses. So I’ve put together a few pros and cons of the two scenarios to help you decide whether you should “fight or flight”.
I don’t know how many times I’ve been in an airport security line that stretches as far as the eye can see and takes over an hour to get through because every person is treated as a suspect. I see little kids, women, and grandmas taking off their shoes and putting them through the x-ray machine. WHY? Are they really there to blow up a plane? Watch me stream the Arabic man with a handbag, not the kid with a Hello Kitty backpack or the grandma in a wheelchair. The idea of randomly picking people to search more thoroughly solves nothing except to make it politically correct. Search the suspicious Arabic man not the US businessman. That is where the problem lies though. Our government is looking out for political correctness not our rights or our safety.
Either way, Ms. Shepherd has been tributed by several former students in online blogs as a very capable, interesting Biology teacher. Students claimed that while most of them hate biology, Ms. Shepherd made the class fun and interesting. She was obviously able to retain students and help them learn. Tiffany is a single mother with three children to support as well. One perceptive student added that Tiffany probably had to take the second job to be able to make ends meet. That’s a sad commentary on how much we little value our teachers. We expect them to care for our children, pay exhorbitant amounts of money to continue their education, hold Master’s Degrees but then refuse to pay them enough to care for their own families.
You can make your blog unique as much as you wish to, add personal comments and update people of your life if you want, therefore they will not feel that you are marketing them with your blog, more like building relationships. They find it easier to relate to you and it is much easier to establish relationships with online blogs readers than through a pay per click ad campaign.
The easiest way to start putting adverts on your blogsite is to form a free AdSense account on Google or Yahoo! Publisher Network ( YPN ). Complete your account and payment set up and start placing Google or Yahoo! Advertisements on your blog site once your membership application has been approve.
Deposit your payments as soon as they are received. Don’t wait for an accumulation of payments over weeks; deposit your earnings daily if feasible. Keeping a check around longer makes it more likely it will be lost. Additionally, you should walk inside the bank and see a teller, rather than using the ATM. Tellers have a lower error rate with checks than ATMs do.
Get Monetized. Find 5 or so ways to make money with your website specifically in your niche. Find 2 high-paying affiliate programs, AdSense, private ad sales, and Kontera or Infolinks. This mixture can often lead to a EPM of $30-50. Making money online requires income diversity.
So whatever you choose, to fight or flight, remember that the decision that you take will result in some good things either way. You’ll just have to weigh up whether it’s worth it.
