When I first wrote my original “Why I Hate Blogs” for article submission I was pretty sure that the humor would get some hits but in my wildest dreams I never thought that out of the 26 articles I did write that it would be second in the amount of the hits it did get. Actually it was dark humor because I honestly do hate spending the time blogging away or let us be more specific – I honestly DID hate spending that time.
Savvy business people have realized that blogs can be an excellent way to promote themselves, their business, or make easy money. The most popular way that this is done is through Google Adsense. Using this, bloggers are able to sell advertising off of their blog and collect cash just for keeping a blog. Those with very successful blogs are raking in the cash simply off of their AdSense ads. It is very easy and free to start doing this, and many have cashed in, and in big ways. Some blog hosts have even allowed their users to ad AdSense using the same account, making it even easier to make money with blogs.
Use original videos or pictures to make your content seem more interesting. Most online users prefer Visit my profile with interesting pictures and videos. This is because pictures and videos can convey messages much more effectively. Some users don’t like to read article content, but instead they like simply looking at the photos or watching videos.
Because there’s a cost to these lists, fewer people use them. However, in my experience, many of these purchased lists are still spammed to death because there’s no oversight on the commenting quality. Like number 1 above, many of the blogs on purchased lists soon switch their commenting to nofollow fairly quickly.
Lots more can be said about blogging and how it might help you build your network, but this should give you some initial ideas. Hopefully after reading this you are intrigued by the possibilities and would like to learn more.
If you already have a website, adding a blog can help you get more visitors who are interested in you because you will be writing about your area of expertise. And since the search engines love websites that are tightly focused and updated often, your site can move up quickly in the search rankings.
At the end of the day, deciding on whether or not you want to have a website or blog will depend on what your purpose is, your skill level, and budget. Visit blogs to see what they look like and how they are structured and do the same with websites. Then decide what will work best for you and what you want to achieve.
