As the world recession ends, we will have a world growing with the demands of accelerating economies. These economies will demand a mushrooming volume of powerful energy. Petroleum (fossil fuel) energy is decreasing in availability. Fields are being depleted every year. More and more energy is located in areas where the local authorities despise us and only want to take advantage of our vulnerability. As the global recession yields, the demand will build, perhaps exponentially. We will need every energy source available. This will include energies that are, and need to be, ebullient, efficient, and especially, renewable.
The sun warming areas of the planet differently causes air masses to move as wind. And it’s the sun’s energy that evaporates the water that eventually falls as rain the fill the rivers and streams from which we harness hydropower.
It is often presumed that self-sufficiency in energy is only for nerds, but this is not true, it is now within the reach of every family or household. If you have lots of money, a solar or wind powered system will cost you about $45,000 and it will take about ten years to recover your investment by getting off the grid. However, you can have the same apparatus for much less than half that amount.
The hydropower is the one we are eagerly waiting for. The reliability of fossil fuel for long is not dependable. The disappearance or the slow depletion of fossil fuel is a reality.
Building solar panels is not as difficult as you might think. The solar cells are what transform sunlight into energy. These cells are wired together. Once this transformation has taken place, heat light and hot water are available literally on tap. Your appliances can also be powered up to work for you in this way. The materials will set you back in the region of two hundred dollars. Do it yourself stores and most hardware stores will stock these items.
The most usable type of renewable energy is solar power. All of the renewable energy mentioned above can only be used to generate electricity. Solar power is different from the others, it can be used to heat up our home, water and even can be used to cook! And definitely, it can be used to generate electricity by using PV cell. PV cell is a flat panel that uses photoelectric effect to generate electricity.
Heck, we all do. Being able to see the Sierra in summer would be phenomenal here in the San Joaquin Valley. Currently, a thick haze blankets that view. I’d prefer cleaner air and an unabstructed look at the mountains naturalist John Muir routinely hiked in and thought of as beautiful.
Without one of those (and the chances are dicey) the working classes will be in a trick. Rush and Al and all their little friends will do just fine, thank you very much. The rest of us will make other plans.
