What To Do In Kensington London

Posted ByDave SynderJuly 31, 2019

Science fiction fans can get into their Halloween spirit on air when L.A. Theatre Works begins broadcasting two radio plays adapted from the work of H.G. Wells and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle beginning Saturday, October 29, 2011.

Join actors from the Star Trek universe as they recreate the classic radio thriller. Originally performed by Orson Welles and his Mercury Theatre of the Air, War of the Worlds caused a nationwide panic in 1938, as unwitting listeners believed that hostile Martians had really landed in New Jersey.

CSI (CBS, 9pm) – NEW! Ray investigates the death of a college student at a life size animatronic dinosaurs to determine whether it was accidental or murder. Guest starring Katee Sackhoff.

Circular Quay has played a pivotal role in the life and economy of Sydney. It was an important maritime hub. Today, it is the favorite terminal for ferries and yachts, which you can charter. The boats can take you all across the majestic Sydney Harbour and into the Harbour Bridge. It can even go as far as Mosman and Watsons Bay.

The Good Guys (Fox, 9pm) – NEW! Jack and Dan expose a deadly criminal conspiracy while investigating a corrupt oil company, and the case could become problematic for Liz’s boyfriend.

The Museum of History also located on Edenton St is a bit more formal museum, but every bit as interesting. It has the manditory Flight Museum as well as a very nice Sports Museum Gallery. There is also at least one exhibit provided by a major pharmaceutical company with a real 18th century pharmacy model (full size). There are many other exhibits of life during the various periods of North Carolinas history. Thanks to the locating of NCs copy of the Declaration of Independence, there may soon be an additional display. For a history history buff this is a real treasure trove. I know that when I was in my middle school years this would have been a great place to spend the day.

Admission is $3.50 in addition to the regular zoo admission and children under three are still free. The exhibit is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through September 6th.
